TASK

A group assignment of 4 requires students to visit the site on the campus. Each group is tasked with a different site. In groups, we have to measure the site and every detail before drawing them out and inking them.

OBJECTIVES

To be able to measure and record as a team in a site, apply techniques of a drawing of a built environment, transform the 3D space into 2D orthographic drawings, use drawing techniques as a way of communication in the construction industry.

PROGRESS

After finishing the first assignment, I thought nothing can be harder when it comes to drawing. But after we get the measurements from the site, I didn't really know what to do nor my groupmates do. Since the lectures didn't really help, I was confused about what should I do, and after I got Ms. Ann's first tutorial guidance everything sort of going smooth from that point. And from there I did whatever my lecturer advise me to do.

REFLECTION

This assignment sounds easy on first thought, but when we (groups) started to work on it, it has not been the case. We went there to measure once thinking that we won't come back again but eventually we did for like 3 to 4 times to remeasure from corner to corner. Teamwork is needed because that when measuring the space we are measuring in team so we need to know where we already measured and need to confirm that everyone got the right measurement.
