This module provides an overview of landscape architecture discipline in the construction world. It encompasses basic fundamental knowledge, theories, and design process that involved in every stages of a development project. Students will get to explore how architecture bridges the natural and built environment.

ASSIGNMENT 1 :

TASK A: “Replicate and Identify” 1. From the landscape master plan provided in the ’Landscape Sketch Worksheet’ template attached in this brief, you are to redraw the landscape master plan drawing in an A4 size paper. The master plan drawing shall not be in scale but students are to apply the sense of proportion in terms of the sizing between landscape and hardscape elements

TASK B: “Sketch” 1. By referring to the Landscape Sketch Worksheet’ template attached in this brief, you are to draw: (1) plan view - top view, (2) elevation or perspective and (3) provide the common name of the softscape and hardscape elements below:

ASSIGNMENT 2 :
PRECEDENT STUDY ON EXPERIENTIAL PARK
Task:
The professional works like landscape architecture projects should be developed in systematic process. Its purpose is to best arrange the elements of any planned development in relation to the natural and constructed features of a site and its environs. The responsibility of a designer is to guide those involved in the best solution and to help ensure in all ways possible the project’s success. Students are assigned to work in a group of 4 to develop a neat poster by a given particular site.

ASSIGNMENT 3 :
THE LANDSCAPE DESIGN PROPOSAL
This assignment is a group work that divided into 2 components which are Part A and Part B. Students are required to attempt in both components in the group work to be able to acquire the 50% assessment marks

TASK A: You are then required to study/ research on the figure’s profiling which focuses on (not limited to); characters, personalities, interests, lifestyle, inspirations, personal preferences/ favourites, behaviours/ personal traits etc. This information will establish as the Project Brief.
​
TASK B: Based on the profiling that you have established above, you are to propose a landscape design project for your chosen figure’s dream house. You are to use the base plan provided to propose the conceptual space arrangement and landscape components suitable to be included in the space.
